Welcome to Allora Design & Interiors! Are you looking to infuse a design style and personality into your home and create a space that better reflects you and your lifestyle? If so, I would love to help and I'm so glad you're here!
I'm Lora and I have been dreaming up and designing spaces since my childhood. I have my mama to thank for showing me how creativity, resourcefulness, a good furniture layout, and a fresh coat of paint can transform a space- giving it new life! I received my B.S. in Interior Design from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2006. Thus, beginning my career in the field of commercial design. Through the years, I've found my true passion in residential design, helping one client at a time to realize the possibilities to transform the spaces of their home.
Designing is problem solving, and the decisions along the way can be daunting and numerous! It brings me great joy to design better functioning, more livable, and beautiful spaces for my clients! Allow me to curate authentic, one-of-a-kind design solutions that fit your needs, wishes and budget. I will guide you through the design process, and together we'll make choices for your home that will ultimately result in a good investment and a thoughtfully designed space you will love for years to come!
The Full-Service Design Process
Step 1 - Discovery Call
We get to know each other and talk about your project needs, design style and budget.
Step 2 - In-Home Consultation
We walk through your space clarifying scope of work and sharing ideas and goals to move forward in the design process.
Step 3 - Design Phase
I study your style and based on your goals for function and aesthetics, I source new furnishings, accessories, materials and finishes to create a custom design. Space planning and layouts, 3D Modeling, and mood boards are created to visualize.
Step 4 - Presentation
I present my designs and provide any samples I have of sourced materials, colors, finishes, etc. for your approval.
Step 5 - Procurement
Purchasing and managing the delivery of materials and products for your project. This helps the project stay on track and saves you time and the hassle.
Step 6 - Project Management
Following up with orders, site visits, consulting with contractors and tradesmen to oversee the project and work through any issues or design details that may arise.
Step 7 - Installation
If you choose a complete full-service design plan, I will work with you to schedule the delivery of furniture, fixtures, window treatments, accessories and all the finishing touches needed to set up and style your space.
One-of-A Kind Style
My personal design style is modern traditional with natural, earthy elements layered in. I love to bring in pattern, texture and pops of color to play alongside timeless neutrals, creating a sophisticated, yet relaxed and lived-in look. My passion is to create a space that is like no other, sourcing special treasures and unique finds to tell a story and bring character to your home! If this is your style too, I would love to incorporate your favorite things and help you hunt down that vintage sideboard or antique armoire! I can also offer to custom paint any piece we find or update one that you may already own, and give it new life. Allora, let's design!
